Should You Add Logo Mats To Your Business?

Dear #dirtylaundryexpert,

I’ve seen some other companies with logo mats. Do you think these are necessary for my business?

Sincerely,

Too Broke for Branding

Dear “Too Broke for Branding,”

If you already have a mat service (we swap your dirty mats with clean ones every week), you might as well have some of them be logo mats for no additional charge. Any rental product your linen/uniform service adds your logo to will require some kind of updated contract, so just be sure you like your provider. That being said, definitely get some logo mats!

If you DO NOT already have a floor mat service, you either need one to protect your floors, or to spruce up the place, or both. The business math is that you will spend less on a floor mat service than you will repairing/replacing your flooring. The real reason you get a mat service though is to demonstrate to your employees and customers that your business and brand is important.

If you are considering a do-it-yourself mat situation, be sure to consult your business-owner friend who has already tried that.

If you already have a do-it-yourself mat situation, then also already know the benefits and features of that program:

  • Looks lousy EVERY day
  • Helps ruin your floors by holding onto everything wiped on them for all time
  • Either no logo, or a leftover stained faded logo from the last owner
  • Stained/ruined carpet/flooring all day every day
  • Reminds your employees and customers all day, every day, that you are too broke to care about such things

Having a mat service is a no-brainer.

Get a full mat service with some nice logo mats.

If you delay, you run the risk of ruining your floors, only to end up getting a mat program anyway.

If none of this is important to you, then the answer is no. Your company does not need logo mats.
